CommentsI just wanted to say that I have done a lot of camping, and visited Wawaloam this year for the first time. You are by far the best campground in the state!!! I have reservations for a long stay next year, and look forward to every day. Keep up the great work. The grounds are wonderful. This is the first time my kids weren't bored while camping, so I was able to enjoy myself even more!!! mailto:

Great place to spend the summer and we always found something to do (some things we shouldnt have been :) ) to keep from being bored. Nice to see the place looking as inviting as it did 12 years ago. Just in case any of the old campers see this hello from Florida to: Chuggy, Nicole, Nathan, Carrie, Joe, Michelle and eveyrone else that was out past curfew with me. :) Some of the happiest days I remember. PS dont miss the geese though. haha

CommentsHello all!! I used to go to this camp a long time ago...im guessing from 89 to 91. My grandparents went there too...edna and andrew spinney. I miss this camp so much. It was the best thing ever!! How I miss the waterslide and the icecream. I wouldn't change a thing about this wonderful camp ground. Im originally from mass, but moved here to florida in 1992. Hi jim and maurine!!!!!! Remember me??? This is andrea....edna and andrew spinney's grand daughter. Hope all is well with you guys. Commentsgreat campground the employees are nice pool is clean and the food on friday nights and sunday mornings is a nice break from cooking. great campground for kids lots to do. and the night patrol keeps it safe and quiet just don't get on their bad side. if you want to have a great time this is the place to be.

The activities are cool and different.I like the Christmas in July when Santa comes or the Halloween Bash in October. The Staff is nice and the place is clean. CommentsTo the lady who complained about not being able to move her campsite during a recent visit, she must not visit many campgrounds. Wawaloam is top notch in all areas, definitely one of the best kept in the area, and I speak from many years experience. My young children are very happy there too, as the speed limit is strictly enforced. Also, this person must understand that just because a campsite is empty doesn't mean it isn't bought and paid for. We often book campsites and can't get to them till the next day - bought we still reserved and paid for it. Sometimes we do it specifically because we plan to stay open on our travel plans. I hope that the opinion of an obviously inexperienced camper doesn't change the view of others who are visiting this site. mailto:

CommentsMy family camped at Wawaloam in early June and we can't wait to go back. This is our first year camping, but we have visited many campgrounds in the area, and this is by far the nicest. The sites are level, grassy and big, with just enough shade and pricacy, the playground is well kept, the bathrooms were very clean, and the water slide was a blast. My husband and kids loved the arcade and ice cream shop, and Sunday morning breakfast at the pavillion was great! mailto: CommentsI have been taking my family here for years..its the best campground around! CommentsAfter 1 night here at Wawaloam, we definately made the right decision! Glad we booked 2 other weekends this summer. Will definately be back next season. We like the fact that we can let of children roam the grounds without fear of undesirables lurking about. Good to know that the 5 mph speed limit is enforced also. The security system at Wawaloam is the best! Nobody gets in without a reason to be here. I think people visiting this site, to get a feel for the place, would appreciate more pictures. Ie...pictures of the actual sites with happy, smiling children by the campfires. That is what we looked for on our first visit to the web site. Oh yeah, purchased a bag of wood. Expected split logs. Those 6x6 chunks of damp oak just would not burn. Maybe you could purchase a quantity of split logs and then resell them. When in Providence, visit Jerky's pub on Richmond street. CommentsHi everyone.... We are starting our second year as seasonals. I cannot say enough great things about the facilities and the Smith family... Wawaloam is creating memories for my family that we will forever cherish... It is a place that is fun and safe for my children to enjoy. I get just as excited as the kids when Friday comes around. CommentsHi, We camped there for the first time this year and I must say we had a wonderful time. The campground was as nice as the pictures. The sites are spacious, clean and very grassy. We belong to the Mass Starcraft Camping club and anyone out there interested in joining our club are more than welcome to. There are kids of all ages so it's wonderful for them to meet other kids to hang out with. We plan games, pot luck dinners, cocktail hour, cheese & wine tasting, goodies around the fire at night, something diffrent every time. It's a nice way to meet new people, make friends. We tend to camp more with the club.... Happy camping :)

The body and interior is in good shape, needs new canvas and a cable for one of the corners. Has new stove and fridge. Asking $350 or best offer! Would make a good 1st trailer if interested in giving some TLC, also would make a great utility trailer..located in Swansea, MA. CommentsHello! When I found this site,I couldn't believe the flood of wonderful memories that came back to me. Our very first camping experience was at Wawaloam! A very dear friend of ours(Wally Lenkewicz); who is no longer with us :-(, introduced us to your wonderful family place! We spent many years watching our children learn to swim and play mini golf and enjoy all of your many special activities. Christmas in July and Halloween come to mind!!! Even though we were only occasional weekenders I can't tell you enough of how I think you helped mold our family into what it is. It's hard to find places that constitute good family values now and your family is a great assest to the American image. Thanks once again for the experience!!!

CommentsWe have traveled a lot in the past and because we found this campground to be the best we have ever stayed in we are now in our fourth year as seasonals. The first time we camped here for a few days convinced us that this was the place we wanted to keep coming back to. The fee charged is well worthwhile because of all the improvements cosntantly being made. Wawaloam is the cleanest campground we have ever been in and very well run. CommentsWe have been a seasonal camper at Wawaloam for 4 years and have seen many changes. This is by far the best campsite in Rhode Island with it's large sites and improved facilities. Jim and crew are working very hard to accomodate everyone and the place is really looking great. If you haven't spent a halloween weekend here you are missing a great time. Nicole and the staff did a fantastic job last year and we are looking forward to this year. Keep up the hard work with improving the facility you hard work is not going unnoticed. mailto:

We truley enjoyed the pot luck supper with all the great food that was available. Most of all we enjoyed meeting some of our old & cherished friends from years ago when we camped at Wawaloam. We have so many good memories of the past . Anyone who is reading this message and considering Wawaloam as one of their future campsites, take it from us and try them out. They have one of the best campgrounds around. Jim and Maureen are constantly improving their campground daily. We just visited the camground Saturday night after being away for about 5 or 6 years and couldn't beleive the major improvements that have gone on there in the past few years. CommentsWe certainly enjoyed our stay aat Wawaloam. It was truly a family affair because both of our sons and their wives camped with us. We all especially enjoyed the pool. The sites were large and shaded. You must update your directions to nearby shopping however. We got sent to a Stop& Shop that had obviously been out of business for some time!! mailto:
